This video starts out discussing the concern around the number one drug sold in the US in 2013 being an anti-psychotic drug and then turns it attention to the nutrition myth promoting eating whole grain foods as a healthy option.

In answering’s question, Dr. Glidden poses the more important one –“What is causing so many people to need psychactive medication?”

Dr. Glidden points to the real cause creating the need for psychotic drugs being a mineral deficiency.

At 1:20 minutes, Dr. Glidden explains how the modern agricultural methods of our society have caused this to happen.

The body needs raw materials – 90 essential nutrients:

  • 60 minerals
  • 16 vitamins
  • 12 amino acids
  • 2 fatty acids

Minerals can only be found in the soil. Plants and animals can’t make minerals. If soil is minerally deficient, then our bodies will be deficient.

To add insult to injury, we pile on top of this mineral deficiency problem the consumption of whole grains which escalates our malnutrition issue even further.

There is not enough minerals in these grains plus the complex structure of the gluten that makes them up is interrupting the body from absorbing the nutrition in the food in the first place.

There are four particular whole grains that are highly deficient of the necessary raw materials they should contain which is also composed of this gluten.

Dr. Glidden challenges people to stop eating gluten for 28 days as a test and notice what happens to your body on the 29th day.

Gluten is a long-chain complex structure of amino acids that is hard for the body to break apart to get at the amino acids individually.
